Attendance

We want every child at Indian Springs Elementary to have the best chance to learn and grow—and that starts with coming to school every day, on time! When students attend regularly, they build good habits, stay connected with friends and teachers, and make steady progress toward their goals.

If your child needs to miss school, please let us know as soon as possible. You can call, email, or send a note. Absences are excused for things like illness, doctor’s appointments, family emergencies, or other reasons allowed by Columbus City Schools. For safety, please also tell us if your child will be late or needs to leave early.

We keep track of attendance throughout the year. If absences or tardies become frequent, we’ll reach out to see how we can help. Our goal is to work together to remove any barriers and make sure every student is ready to learn each day. Strong routines now lead to success in the future!
